It is not that complicated, and, in fact follows similar formula for those of us healing autoimmune disease. here are some brief Notes from his talk: (and explanation of how those frequently prescribed meds increase risks of fractures – can only be used for a period of time, and will need to have follow up medication
Bone health needs amino acids which-need sources of magnesium to digest properly. as well as Vit C and Calcium plus K for digestion.
Guess what food sources? My favorite breakfast foods:
pumpkin seeds, avocados, hemp seeds, green leafy vegetables – arugula.
berries. My favorite breakfast: crushed and finely chopped kale, spinach, lettuce, celery, and whatever greens are on hand – into the blender with coconut water, follow up with a pleasant salad of arugula, olive oil and lemon juice to dress itt, strawberries, avocado and saskatoons this morning.
AND of course Stimulus: Walking pleasant but not enough…AND do more.- at least two types of stimulations: – housework and gardening count: muscle pulling on bone and impact – weight bearing – high impact and low impact…running, jogging, hiking, soccer, gardening, yoga, tai chi, pilates…resistance bands, machines, compound movements like squats, overhead prossesses, chin ups, You do not have to start out intense..
Just a note if cycling and swimming are your favorite. These do not work against gravity….need to add weight bearing.
